We welcome you to the web site of Resurrection Lutheran Church!
Whether you are browsing from near or far, we welcome your interest in the various ministries that take place through this dynamic congregation.
It is a privilege for us to serve as pastors of this young and growing community of faith. Sunday mornings at Resurrection are buzzing with enthusiasm. Worship, Christian Education, and Fellowship involve folks of all ages. The number of visitors on Sundays is a very healthy sign. We even received a grant last year from our national church in recognition of our fast growth. We are one of just 22 congregations to receive a fast growth grant last year and we are using it to increase our ministry staff and provide tools for outreach and evangelism.
The Music Ministry of this congregation is especially strong and inspirational. We have choirs for all ages and they present their music to the glory of God often at the worship services. Please turn to the web page to see pictures of our musicians at work.
Folks of all ages are participating in the various Christian Education Classes. We have several Bible Study Groups for adults. Our Sunday School follows an especially creative format. We invite you to turn to the Family Life Ministry web page to read about The Living Well.
Our Thursday evening small groups provide a mid-week time for fellowship and classes for all ages.
We have a very strong program at Resurrection for our youth. Our junior youth (grades 4-5) meet quarterly for fellowship activities. The middle school youth gather every Sunday afternoon (4 to 6 p.m.). Twice per month they have confirmation study during this time. Our high school youth gather every Sunday evening (6 to 8 p.m.).
Fellowship is very important for community life at Resurrection. Our active seniors' group, Nifty After Fifty (NAF), sets the pace for the rest of the fellowship groups. Picnics, Progressive Dinners, Dinner Theater, Visiting Musician Concerts, and the Living Nativity are just some of the fun fellowship activities of the congregation.
We are leading four new member orientation courses each year. We receive members by letter of transfer from another congregation, by baptism, and by affirmation of baptism. Please speak with one of us regarding enrollment in one of the new member courses. There is a special feeling at Resurrection that newcomers recognize right away.
The future for this congregation is bright! Started just 15 years ago, this congregation now enjoys using their beautiful facility on Route 3. We have 7 acres of land and already realize that this is not enough for this rapidly growing congregation. We invite you to come in person and see what God has in store for the people of Resurrection Lutheran Church!
