Our Mission: "Marked with the cross of Christ forever, we are claimed, gathered, and sent -- for the sake of the world."
Our Vision: Resurrection Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered family of believers, so deeply and confidently rooted in the Gospel of God's grace, that we are free to give our lives joyfully in witness and service to those whom God has brought into our lives: within our congregation, our community, and our world.
Our strategic plan can be split into two phases, a near term plan, and a long term plan. Both of these
are presented below.
| The challenge goal for our congregation from the ELCA is to increase to at least 800 baptized
members and an average of 500 at worship each weekend. The ELCA
has set this goal for us prior to the beginning of Capital Campaign #2 |
| In the interim time before we move
into a new facility, we must increase our current facilities in terms of gathering space,
classroom space, and parking. |
| To meet the needs of a growing region,
we would like to expand our ministries to further our Mission. To meet the needs of a
growing world, we would like to increase our support of the
worldwide Ministries of the
Church. |

As we project the growth of our area in Spotsylvania County, we anticipate the need for a building to serve a congregation of 1500-2000 people. This new facility must be large
enough for our projected growth, and for our discerned ministries to the community and the world. The Outer Connector is planned even if not currently funded, and remains a future threat to our current location.

|
As our congregation grows, we have many opportunities to make ever more progress toward our vision. Perhaps a Lutheran
School? A Community Center? Support for a Lutheran Home? Sponsorship of an overseas mission? We as a congregation need to
prayfully consider where God is leading, so that we may discern the ministries He wants us
to participate in.
