Our congregation and ministries have grown remarkably during the last 15 years.
However, we as a congregation are at a crossroad. There are several major obstacles
that our congregation must over come in order to continue growing. These obstacles are:
| Our current facilities were constructed in 1997, and since
then the rapid growth of our congregation has outgrown our facilities.
Our pews each Sunday are about 80% full, our classrooms are overflowing for
Sunday School, and last year we added nearly 100 new members. This year,
the growth will hopefully be no different. |
| Our region is rapidly growing and our congregation needs to
grow to be part of it. With a larger community, there is a greater diversity of needs
and more resources are required in order to serve these needs. We believe it is God's purpose for
us to be a foundation in this community, and in order to do this, we must grow.

VDOT has approved a new connection between I-95 and Route
3 that will go directly through our current location.
With recent budget cuts, this project has been moved back,
but will most likely occur within the next few years.
We will need to be in our new facilities by the time this
project arrives at Route 3.
