| An Awakening is a program
developed by Kairos that will help guide our congregation
into the future. The Awakening will teach us more about
God and His purpose for us, more about ourselves and our needs,
and more about how we can serve God through our congregation.

| Pastor Joel was our Kairos
representative for the Awakening Program. He spent a few days
each month with us to guide and advise us and we moved throughout
the Awakening. Pastor Renee is our Kairos representative for
the Capital Fund Appeal "God Calls Us to Grow!"
She'll be visiting us every month through March 2004, then
will be an on-call consultant for the next 3 years. |

Brother Bill is our mascot during the Awakening! Over the coming months Brother Bill will grow
from a small daffodil bulb into a blooming flower. This represents our growing and blooming
commitment to God, the community, each other, and ourselves. He is based of the text from
Mark 4: "Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop--thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown."
