Scope Statement
The 2006-2007 Resurrection Lutheran Church Capital Improvement Project
consists of the following activities.
Project includes all items detailed in the work breakdown structure and
the detailed decision table included later in this plan.
1.
Construction
of a two story addition with classrooms, basement, and fellowship hall.
a.
Completion of
architect drawings
b.
Obtaining of
Permits
c.
Completion of
site preparation including the installation of erosion, sediment and storm
water management requirements
d.
Excavation of
basement
e.
Installation
of concrete foundation, walls and flooring, including exterior drain around
footings.
f.
Installation
of plumbing, electrical and HVAC for new structure, including hookup to
existing well and septic system, and provisions to hook up to county sewer and
water system.
g.
Construction
of building, including installation of elevator between basement and second
floor.
h.
Work is to be
done according to plans, specifications, permit requirements, and industry
standards.
2.
Construction
of an expanded narthex tying existing church with new structure.
a.
Including provisions
in the ceiling to house the HCAC equipment for the new building and plus
housing future HVAC equipment to replace the existing systems supplying
existing church structure. It does not include any materials,
equipment or labor for these future potential new HVAC systems, only for
the HVAC necessary for the new building addition.
b.
Installation
of new primary entranceway into church as well as a doorway from existing
fellowship hall into expanded narthex.
c.
Removal of
walls between existing narthex and new expanded narthex. Does
not include any materials, equipment or labor to make any changes to wall
between existing narthex and worship area.
d.
Work to be
done according to plans, specifications, permit requirements and industry
standards.
3.
Shaping and paving
of driveway.
a.
Includes both
primary and overflow parking area (currently occupied by temporary trailers).
b.
Work to be
done according to plans, specifications, permit requirements and industry
standards.
4.
Renovation of
existing fellowship hall.
a.
Includes
construction of two offices for use by pastors.
b.
Includes
installation of a conference area.
c.
Includes
entranceway into new narthex area.
d.
Includes
conversion of the northwest corner of the existing space to receive the kitchen
expansion.
e.
Work to be
done according to plans, specifications, permit requirements and industry
standards.
5.
Remodeling of
the warming kitchen
a.
Expansion of
the current kitchen space into the current fellowship hall space, effectively
doubling the length of the kitchen.
b.
Includes installation
of following equipment as shown in the work breakdown structure: 1 dishwasher,
2 refrigerators, 2 electric ranges.
c.
Does not include provisions to make this a
full functioning kitchen for use food preparation, this is a warming kitchen only.
