Stewardship of Earth and Sea and All God's Creatures

Francis of Assisi: My sister birds, you owe much to God, and you must always and in everyplace give praise to Him; for He has given you freedom to wing through the sky and He has clothed you. You neither sow nor reap, and God feeds you and gives you rivers and fountains for your thirst, and mountains and valleys for shelter, and tall trees for your nests. And although you neither know how to spin or weave, God dresses you and your children, for the Creator loves you greatly and He blesses you abundantly. Therefore, always seek to praise God."

As Lutherans, we have a long history of caring for the earth and sea and all of God's creatures. We rejoice in the beauty and abundance of diversity that God has provided for us. We seek to live as Ambassadors of Christ throughout the globe, and are very sensitive to the global effects of our collective stewardship of the natural resources we have been blessed with. Blessed to Bee a Blessing in rural Spotsylvania County, Virginia, we are surrounded by beautiful forests teaming with life, and streams that water our livestock and farm fields as they flow into historic rivers such as the Rappahanock and the Rapidan on their way to the sea.

We invite your attention to the links below to further your walk with Jesus the Good Shepherd who makes us to lie down in green pastures!
